About

Salesforce since 2000. GTD® since 2004. CEO and co-founder of Arkus.

Jason M. Atwood

On November 3, 2000, I clicked "sign up" on a young web app called Salesforce while running IT for a small startup. Twenty-five years later, it is the foundation of my professional life.

At a Wall Street firm I founded and ran a Central Salesforce Office. In 2010 I co-founded Arkus on a simple belief: great technology, delivered with purpose, can transform how mission-driven organizations work. I served as COO for twelve years and have been CEO since 2022. Arkus has now supported more than 800 organizations, most of them nonprofits, and we adopted the Pledge 1% model from day one.

I've been a Salesforce MVP since 2012 and am honored to be in the MVP Hall of Fame. I co-hosted 300+ episodes of the CloudFocus Weekly podcast, have written for the Arkus blog since 2009, and speak at Dreamforce, TDX, World Tours, and community-led Dreamin' events.

My other obsession is productivity. I've practiced Getting Things Done® since 2004, logged more than 1,000 weekly reviews, and helped install GTD across an entire company.

I'm a Skidmore graduate, a father, and a runner of races, based in New York City.

What I care about

Where my work and attention go

  • CRM and AI adoption for mission-driven organizations. Nonprofit Cloud vs. NPSP, Agentforce, and agentic workflows, in plain English.
  • Operations and remote-team culture. Leading a remote consultancy through every tech wave; Slack at Arkus since 2015.
  • Productivity at scale. Getting Things Done® across a whole company, not just a to-do list.
  • Community and giving back. Arkus adopted the Pledge 1% model at its founding; the Salesforce community has shaped my career.
